Your patient records, on our cloud, in your hands
Vetspire runs the medical record for solo mobile practices and 500-clinic groups alike — no on-premise server, no third-party IT on call.
Practice managers ask us the same questions before they sign: where does the record live, who can reach it, and what happens when something breaks. This page answers them plainly. Where we don't have a certification to show you, we say so instead of hanging a badge on the wall.
What we can tell you about how Vetspire is run
Real postures, described in enough detail for a security reviewer to work with.
Cloud-hosted, no on-premise server
There is no server in your back room to patch, back up, or lose in an outage — and no third-party IT vendor holding your clinic hostage while they respond.
Record access from anywhere
Clinicians document in real time from a mobile unit, a client's home, or another location, and the record stays in one place instead of being written up later from notes.
One platform, fewer vendors
Messaging, reminders, and documentation run inside Vetspire, so your practice reviews one vendor instead of a stack of point tools that each hold patient and client data.
Proven at consolidator scale
Vetspire was built as the in-house operating system of a major veterinary roll-up and now runs practices from a single location to networks of 500+ clinics.
Independent and neutral
Vetspire operates independently, so no practice is buying its core platform from a competitor or a distributor with its own products to sell.
Guided onboarding and migration
Planned training tracks, onsite support on go-live day, and weekly check-ins get your whole team to confidence together rather than leaving one person to figure it out.
The questions your security review will ask
Short, direct answers. Bring the rest to our team.
- Where does our patient data live?
- Vetspire is a cloud platform, so your medical records, scheduling, and billing data are hosted by us rather than on a server in your clinic. Your team reaches the record through a browser or our iPad apps.
- Do we still need an on-premise server or third-party IT?
- No. Moving to Vetspire removes the on-premise server and the maintenance contract that comes with it, which is one of the most common reasons practices leave a legacy PIMS.
- What does the AI Scribe do with our exam recordings?
- AI Scribe listens to the appointment and drafts the medical record note inside Vetspire. The clinician reviews and owns the final record — the AI produces a draft, not the signed chart.
- Do we need a separate AI transcription vendor?
- No. The AI is built into the record itself, not bolted on afterward, so practices like Dermatology for Animals dropped their third-party transcription service when they moved to Vetspire.
- Can staff work remotely without exposing our network?
- Yes. Because the record is cloud-based, clinicians document from a mobile unit or another site without anyone opening up a clinic network or remoting into a local server.
- How do you handle migrating our existing records?
- Migration is part of a guided onboarding: planned training tracks, onsite support at go-live, and weekly check-ins afterward. Talk to us about your current system and we'll walk you through what the move involves.
- Which certifications do you hold?
- We won't list certifications we haven't published. Ask our team directly and we'll tell you exactly what we can document for your review.
- Can our security team talk to yours?
- Yes. Send us the questionnaire or the review call you need and we'll get the right people on it.
